healthy bulldog July 6, 2008 when i picked up my bulldog 8 years ago the breeder gave me the advice to never feed her pork or wet food and she gave me a portion of royal canin food on the way which i stuck to since then! I never had to go to the vet with her because of health problems, no skin problems and she is still very thin and active. I m feeding her this special food since they came up with it cause it makes them actually chew and not swallow the food. The number "24" stands for the crude protein in it which is the amount they just need. Very satisfied! Bulldogs deserve a lot of special care think twice before getting one, for the animal's sake!
We're completely satisified March 19, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
We switched to this brand after we got our second bully. We noticed that the shape of the food definitely helped to slow down our 2nd bully, who had previously inhaled his food. Their skin and coats look great and they seem very happy with it.
great even for my bullmastiff! September 4, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
My bullmastiff puppy was on one brand when I brought her home from the breeder. We had on & off again problems with gas & runny stools. We tried a few other brands, gradually, of course, but now we have her on this. She is doing great! Not good for my old man of a retriever who goes strictly with lamb & rice food.
This food is the best April 18, 2006 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I switched to Royal Canin Bulldog about a year ago. My Bully used to have problems with Hot Spots and skin irritations. Ever since I switched him to this he does not have as many skin irritations that he used to have. (Take note that all Bullys will always have a problem with their skin of some kind...but this food definitely lessened his scratching and constant chewing at his skin) The kibble shape and size is perfect for him. It makes him chew the food instead of swallowing it whole like most Bullys do. (If you have a Bully, make sure you get a raised feeder so they don't have to bend all the way down to eat. It helps tremendously with their digestion and lessens the strain on their joints) Oh and make sure you feed them from stainless steel bowls. I am so glad I found this food and I will never switch him to another brand. I hope Royal Canin never stops making this formula.
At last, a dedicated product for bulldogs ! December 17, 2005 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have been a breeder of bulldogs for over thirty years producing several international champions. In all these years, believe me, I have tried all possible dry commercial food as well as home made recipies but I am always open to new suggestions. I was very positively surprised by the quality and innovation of this new product. Of course, I know how important it is, especially for bulldogs, not to switch overnight to a new type of food. Like with any dietary change, I recommend to introduce this new product by mixing it with the meals your bulldogs are accustomed to (increasing the ratio of the new product little by little over several days) in order to avoid rejection or side effects.
