Paws and Smell the World is a delightful book of dog stories and poems that is sure to make the dog lover happy. It might even make some happy who just like animals. From stories about Lucky, the bull dog runt who survives a near-drowning, to stories about a woman learning to dance with her border collie as she cooks in her tiny kitchen--these pieces and breath-taking photographs really capture the wonderful bond that exists between humans and canines.
This is a great book for any library to go along with copies of All Creatures Great and Small, Old Yeller, and Sounder. It is also a great gift for the dog person who understands what a cold wet nose and big dark eyes are all about.
