Product Description Gloria was glum and grumpy Out of sorts. Sad and lumpy. A brand-new doll? Its time to pout! Gloria felt so left out. Poor Gloria the bulldog thinks she has lost her best friend when the little girl who owns her receives a doll as a birthday present. Suddenly the girl Gloria does everything with now does everything with her new doll! But Gloria cant exactly tell anyone why shes upset, so the girls brother and sister figure that Gloria just needs some cheering up. Maybe a bath? Or a game of dress-up? Or a bike ride? Things go from silly to hysterical, but in the end Gloria is happily reunited with her best friend.

I'm Grumpy with disappointment July 12, 2009 Lillian A. Kelly (Southern CA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The story line is a little obscure for a 3 year old. As a former owner of Bulldogs, I could not wait to read this one to the Grandkids. The two 3 years olds, one boy and one girl, couldn't have been LESS interested. The reason for Gloria's grumpiness was not expressed in a way they could comprehend and when I tried to explain it too them, they couldn't have cared less! My lap was promotly vacated as they took off in search of a more interesting diversion. We were (including Grandma) not interested in Grumpy Glorias angst.
We all loved Llama llama Misses Mamma and Llama llama Mad at Mamma by the same author, so this was a surprise letdown.

My kids love this book. I checked it out for the class that I teach and ended up buying it, they have the whole book memorized. They love it so much and i think that its a great book.
Grumpy No More December 10, 2008 Sharon Howard (austin tx) A heart-warming story when Gloria thinks a doll took her place, then discovers she's loved as always. All's well that ends well and Grumpy Gloria is grumpy no more.
Grandchildren's Favorite October 11, 2008 A Veteran's Wife (WI) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought this among many books for my babysitting cache. Told the grandchildren it was from our bulldogs. It turned out to be their favorite. The illustrations are striking. The 2 yr old loved the pictures, the four-year old's favorite saying was "Read it again, grandma". Did just that at least 10 times. I now have "Grumpy Gloria" committed to memory. They loved the book, and so did I. Wish their were more adventures.
Cute! December 13, 2007 L. B. Robinson We haven't read the llama book but we loved this one anyway! Perfect for pet lovers :)
